Foytech Provides AI Platform to Lund University's Law Program

Foytech and Lund University

We are pleased to announce that the Faculty of Law at Lund University is now trying out our platform as an integrated part of their legal education. This collaboration will give students practical experience in how AI can streamline and improve legal processes across various areas of law.

AI is today a significant part of the modern lawyer's daily work, and all indications suggest that it will be even more established in a few years. Just as we historically learned to search through law books, the modern law student needs to learn how to handle contemporary technology connected to legal practice. We simply need to keep pace with societal developments to remain relevant.

- Richard Sahlberg, CEO of Foytech

An example of how it will be used in practice is that students will generate AI text based on a number of prompts in light of a given application problem, and then critique the generated text in a reflective essay.

The collaboration gives us an opportunity to test this exciting technology in teaching and prepare our students for a future where generative AI takes an increasingly prominent place in the professional lawyer's toolkit. By collaborating with external partners such as Foyen and Foytech, we can ensure that our teaching is anchored in this transformative technological development while simultaneously creating a bridge between academia and practice, where we jointly explore and develop innovative applications of AI in law.

- Richard Croneberg, Assistant Professor, Doctor of Law and responsible course developer

Students will work with realistic scenarios in various legal areas where AI can be applied, reflecting the development occurring in the industry where more and more law firms are integrating AI into their daily operations. For us at Foytech, this represents an opportunity to both contribute to the education of future lawyers and continue developing our platform based on insights from academia. We look forward to a long-term collaboration that will benefit both students and the legal system at large.
